Daily Bible reading is crucial to filling our minds with God’s truth about daily living as a Christian. Look at how Romans 12:2-3 challenges our thinking.

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned.

Romans 12:2-3

How are you presenting yourself to God? As one conformed to this world, or as one with a renewed mind? Are you testing your thoughts and responses to identify the way God wants you to live, or are you still following your own will which is only good in your own eyes, unacceptable to God and certainly not perfect? Are you stopping the self-promoting thoughts you think and replacing them with thoughts about yourself as a sinner saved by grace to serve God through your daily life?

Fix these verses as a plaque on the door of your mind, and do not enter your thoughts without a prayerful consideration of these truths. Think about your thinking.
