That Scripture is infallible means that it is incapable of failure and error (John 10:35). Scripture therefore, is always true and cannot change. There are no contradictions in Scripture and all of it’s teachings are consistent with one another.
This infallibility is a result of the fact that God is truth (Zech 8:8) and therefore His word is truth (2 Cor 4:2). Because the source of the Bible is God Himself and not human, the Bible itself is by definition truth and as such has authority inherently in itself. As absolute unchangeable truth, the Bible sets the standard regarding life and spirituality and has the authority to demand belief in it (Tit 2:11-15).
Unlike all other religions, true Christianity does not select which writings are more important or more accurate than others. We believe the Bible, the whole Bible, and nothing but the Bible.
