God Delights in You When …

So whether we are at home [with the Lord] or away [still alive on this world],
we make it our aim to please him.

2 Corinthians 5:9

God has revealed how believers can be a pleasure to Him. Make it your aim to delight God.

Here are Four God-Delighting Duties for the rest of your life.

1. God is delighted when saints pray to Him
   Proverbs 15:8; Isaiah 66:2b
2. God is delighted when saints fear Him
   Psalm 147:11a. See also Proverbs 8:13 and Psalm 112:1
3. God is delighted when saints hope in Him
   Psalm 147:11b
4. God is delighted when saints obey Him
   1 Samuel 15:22

In the format of the famous Heidelberg Catechism,
Question: What is the basic aim of every saint?
Answer: A saint’s most basic aim is to delight God.

we ask and urge you in the Lord Jesus,
that as you received from us how you ought to walk and to please God,
just as you are doing, that you do so more and more.
