By All of Saturday nothing happened as it was the Sabbath. It was a day of great mourning for all those who had believed in Jesus.
SATURDAY
This should have been a day of deep reflection for the believers. It was a day to contemplate exactly why Jesus had to die. Jesus didn’t die merely at the hands of an unjust Roman-Jewish political system. Jesus died according to God’s definite plan to accomplish the salvation of all who would believe. It was a salvation so impossible to accomplish, that only Jesus’s death would work.

The accomplishment of Jesus’ life and death is most profoundly summed up in 1 John 2:2.
