By Scripture is full of statements of blessing, or genuine deep-rooted happiness, for those who believe. We might not experience such blissful blessing from this world, but the reality is that we are to be the happiest of people on this earth!
We are blessed because we have the right God.
Blessed are the people whose God is the LORD!
Psalm 144:15b
What joy is ours when our sins are forgiven by God!
Blessed is the one whose transgression is forgiven,
Psalm 32:1
whose sin is covered.
Our reliance is not on man, but on God, and we know with assured hope that He will vindicate us.
Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob,
Psalm 146:5
whose hope is in the LORD his God,
The breadth and depth of God’s revelation to man is what makes us wise and understanding, and increasing in the knowledge of Scripture is truly a delight.
Blessed is the one who finds wisdom,
Proverbs 3:13
and the one who gets understanding,
Obedience might not always be easy, but it always makes for a happier life.
If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them.
John 13:17
